Mundfish and Focus Entertainment have announced that ‘Atomic Heart’ will receive its third DLC, ‘Enchantment Under the Sea,’ on January 28, 2025.

In this expansion, we will explore the underwater Neptune Research Center, a new area within Facility 3826. This location introduces fresh experiments and enemies, offering intense challenges. Additionally, familiar places like the flying city of Chelomey have changed significantly, and they are now under complete robot control.

Our journey continues with the consciousness of the Twins accompanying us. Two weapons are introduced to face the new threats: the Thunderclap, a hammer that increases damage with electrical current, and the KM-4 Kuzmich, a double-barrel shotgun effective against groups of enemies.

We also gain two glove abilities from the Twins. The Blaze ability allows us to unleash fireballs, causing area damage. The Whip ability functions as a grappling hook, enabling us to pull ourselves toward enemies, inflict damage, evade danger, and reach previously inaccessible areas.

These new tools are essential for confronting the sea-dwelling enemies in the DLC, including coral mutants and the formidable MOR-4Y.

‘Atomic Heart’ was initially released on February 21, 2023, and has since expanded its universe with additional content. The first DLC, ‘Annihilation Instinct,’ was released on August 2, 2023, followed by the second DLC, ‘Trapped in Limbo,’ on February 6, 2024. ‘Enchantment Under the Sea’ is the latest addition, promising to enhance our gaming experience with new environments, weapons, abilities, and adversaries.

As we prepare to dive into the depths of the Neptune Research Center, the challenges ahead are both thrilling and daunting. The combination of new weapons and abilities will be crucial in overcoming the obstacles that await. The evolving storyline and transformed environments suggest that ‘Enchantment Under the Sea’ will offer a rich and engaging experience.

With the release date approaching, the expansion is expected to provide a fresh perspective on the ‘Atomic Heart’ universe, blending familiar elements with innovative gameplay mechanics. As we gear up to explore the submerged corridors of the Neptune Research Center, the promise of new discoveries and challenges lies ahead.
