It affected Australia heavily too. Not to the same scale as the Dutch, but a big impact for us. I remember the RAAF was heavily involved in bringing victims back to the Netherlands:
Many Dutch people migrated to Australia in the 40s-70s, so we all know someone with Dutch heritage. My aunt and uncle traveled from Amsterdam to Sydney via Kuala Lumpur on Malaysian airlines only a couple of days before, they could have so easily been on MH17 if their timings were slightly different.

This, and the fact that the man who perpetrated it got away scot-free still boils my blood to this day.

We are still waiting for justice for the victims of MH17. May we never forget.

Such a terrible crime.
