May she rest in peace, the amount of abuse the Kurdish have taken is incredibly cruel.

My own family fled turkey for a better life when the Kurdish population was being heavily oppressed, to the point where my grandparents were being tortured by the police, even when we settled down in the UK, I was told to say I was turkish if anyone asked because it was still dangerous to be kurdish abroad due to the turkish populations.

To this day, I don't have a 'identity' like others do, I was born in the UK, but I'm not british, my family is from turkey but we are not turkish, I have no motherland, its a very weird thing to think about.
