I always have this small worry when my son is in school. So much shit can happen there, but I shouldn't have to worry about him or any of those kids getting shot.

ETA: since several people have mentioned it, I debated if I should include Nancy or not. I did in the end because, while I absolutely believe she was partly responsible for her sons actions, I don’t think many parents could bring themselves to truly believe their child is capable of something like this, even if the signs are there. Had she lived, I think she should absolutely have been held responsible for her enabling and neglect, but I don’t think she deserved the death penalty for it. In the end she was just a parent who was likely trying to do her best, even if from the outside we can see it clearly wasn’t enough. Ultimately, he chose to do what he did and she was one of his victims.
