He's just the decoy, somewhere else Nicolas Cage is wearing a hoody with the kids face on it.

Well, he's wearing the oversized XXXL hoodie for a reason. Easy to hide it and sneak it out.

So when I was alot younger, maybe 11-12, my uncle got a job In Dc and moved there with his family for a few years. I went to visit a few times but one particular one we decided to do the whole DC tour, and I was so stoked to see the declaration. Had a great time, did get to see it and alot of other cool stuff, but after we were done we stopped by the gift store where of course I grabbed my own copy of the Declaration. As my family and I are leaving a security guard comes running up to us saying Stop! I freeze as he comes to me, bends down a bit, and asked "Now that's not the original in there right? Had a few problems with that recently." Took a sec for my brain to realize he was making a joke but I started grinning and he did as well then laughing. My dad got the joke pretty quick as well but the rest of my family was a bit freaked out. The security guy gave me a little national archive pin to wear, great guy. Glad my dad and I had just National Treasure a few weeks before, guessing the security guy had as well lol
