Gotta say, even as a shitty punk kid I felt a terrible sadness when I learned about Anne Frank and her story in middle school. Much older now and it still hits hard when I think about it. I know Anne Frank was not the only one who suffered in that way and there were other children or families who had the same happen, but something about putting a face to the story that hits hard.
I pray this story never repeats itself with any other class of people, especially during these crazy times we are living in.

I assume that's her sister Margot there too? (Currently reading the book, nearly finished).

Visiting her hiding place this summer was an experience that I will never forget, and think about daily. It was chilling. No words can express it
