Mom hopefully coming back. Fawns instinctually hunker down and stay hidden while mom is away.

PSA FOR REDDITORS.

If you find a fawn, leave it alone. Come back in a few hours to check on it.

******* IF you notice the tips of the ears beginning to curl up, that means dehydration. If the ears are curling. There's a good chance mom didn't make it, or was hurt badly enough that she won't be making it back for the fawn.

At this point, and only at this point you should start contacting wildlife rehabbers or sanctuarys near you. If your unable to find one. Call your states dept of natural resources for help.
