Condensation from air-conditioning (AC) units has become the subject of some controversy in India.

Seeing liquid dripping from the statue of a deity, many devotees believed that it was some sort of holy water.

Authorities from the temple, where the statue is located, have since clarified that the water is merely condensation from one of their AC units.

According to Times of India, devotees have been lining up for water dripping from an elephant-shaped sculpture at Banke Bihari Temple — located in Uttar Pradesh, India.

Condensation from the AC units would run through tubes integrated into the temple’s infrastructure before being discharged via the elephant-shaped spouts. »
