The final before Election Day shows a stunning turnaround in Iowa. The poll found Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of former President Trump. Trump won Iowa in both 2016 and 2020.
Harris leads by a three-point margin, just within the 3.4-point margin of error. She trailed Trump by four points in the September poll, a dramatic turnaround from the double-digit lead Trump had over Joe Biden in June.
“It’s hard for anybody to say they saw this coming,” said pollster J. Ann Selzer, president of Selzer & Co. “She has clearly leaped into a leading position.”
The poll found Harris' advantage appears to be surging thanks in part to older women and independent voters. Harris' lead among women aged 65 and older was by more than a two to one margin. Trump continues to lead among Iowans between the ages of 35 and 54. While Harris is maintaining advantages among voters younger than 35, as well as 55 and older.
Democrats Saturday night said the poll is not a surprise to them, saying it reflects to what they're hearing on the ground. "We are hearing from women, Republicans, Independents, and Democrats who are saying enough is enough, they are sick and tired of politicians who are interfering in their doctor's offices," said Iowa House Minority Leader Jennifer Konfrst, "and are looking for people up and down the ballot who are actually going to fight for their freedoms. And this issue is salient and real, and the fact that Vice President Harris all the way down to candidates for the Iowa House are talking about the same rights and freedoms, shows that this is what Iowans are looking for."
Iowa GOP Chair Jeff Kauffman cited a new Emerson College Poll showing Trump still leading comfortably as the true indicator of the state of the race."Des Moines Register is a clear outlier poll. Emerson College, released today, far more closely reflects the state of the actual Iowa electorate and does so with far more transparency in their methodology."
The Trump Campaign also , also citing Saturday's Emerson College poll as the true snapshot in Iowa.
In 2020, the final Des Moines Register Iowa Poll showed Trump with an eight-point lead over Biden. Trump ended up winning the state by nine points.

Isn't this one of the most accurate pollsters in Iowa? Seems promising if true.

If everyone votes, he loses. He loses, he's gone from our lives forever.
What more motivation does anyone need?
