FBI finds hundreds of weapons at home of suspect in Arizona Democratic Party office shooting.
A court document said authorities still were preparing a case tied to the white powder attached to the political signs.
The Arizona Republic reached out to the FBI and U.S. Justice Department but did not immediately receive a response.
During Kelly's initial appearance on Wednesday, a prosecutor from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office struck an ominous tone.
He said the weapons cache showed Kelly was "preparing to commit an act of mass casualty.".
"That is quite shocking to a person who's never had any previous allegations at all," Squires said in court.
Similarly, no cellphone was tracked behind during the shootings at the Democratic office, the prosecutor said. »
