Hurricane Milton made landfall Wednesday night as a "dangerous Category 3" storm near Siesta Key, on Florida's central west coast, the National Hurricane Center said.

Milton had sustained winds of 120 mph at landfall, but its strength diminished as it moved inland.

After landfall, Milton will continue across Florida while rapidly weakening after losing the fuel of the warm Gulf waters, but still maintaining its hurricane status.

Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar sent a message to a senior operative saying that he believed it was time to revive suicide bombings, The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday, citing Arab intelligence officials.

The WSJ noted that Hamas largely stopped using suicide bombings nearly two decades ago, as some of its leaders feared that such tactics could politically isolate the group.

Yet since October 7, Hamas leaders such as Sinwar and Khaled Mashaal have called for these radical terror attacks to continue. »

Even Hurricane Milton can't keep Disney World fanatics away from the theme park ... with tourists still swinging by The Most Magical Place On Earth hours before the storm's landfall.

The decision to still attend Disney World is frankly surprising, given the fact the parks are set to close Wednesday afternoon ahead of Milton's landfall in Florida.

Both Universal Studios Orlando and SeaWorld are shutting down ahead of the hurricane, and plan to remain closed Thursday. »

Biden announces 10-year deadline to remove all lead pipes nationwide

The city of Milwaukee, where Mr. Biden is making the announcement, has 65,000 lead pipes, which the city says will cost an estimated $700 million to remove.

The final rule will require better lead testing requirements and mandating a complete inventory of lead water pipes.
