Elon Musk’s mom says cheating for Trump isn’t ‘illegal.’ Twitter fires back: ‘You’re just as dumb as your son’

One thing for sure: The Musk family is all in for Donald Trump — and election lies.

While Elon Musk — carmaker, owner of Twitter/X, government contractor and conspiracy theorist — was hopping around the stage at a rally for Trump at a Pennsylvania rally on Saturday, his mother was suggesting a way for Trump supporters to cheat in November’s presidential election against Kamala Harris.

Maye Musk, by the way, has 1.1 million followers on Twitter/X, her reach no doubt helped by the owner.

When her son tweeted, “Super important to get all your friends and family to register to vote. Georgia’s registration deadline is Monday!!” Maye Musk offered her own voting strategy.

“The Democrats have given us another option,” she tweeted. “You don’t have to register to vote. On Election Day, have 10 fake names, go to 10 polling booths and vote 10 times. That’s 100 votes, and it’s not illegal. Maybe we should work the system too.”

Actually, that is illegal — and even Twitter/X’s fact-checking labeled it so with an embarrassing community note that explained, “This is, in fact, illegal,” while citing the law. But that wasn’t all: Maye Musk’s tweet drew immediate and brutal mocking on social media:

“So, you’re just as dumb as your son. Good to know.”

“Great idea, Maye. I think you should film yourself doing this and post it.”

Many suggested that Tina Peters — a MAGA Trump supporter who tampered with election data and was sentenced to nine years in prison on Friday — might need a cellmate or a prison buddy.

A few hours later, Maye Musk told her Twitter/X followers: Never mind.

“In Butler, Pennsylvania, we just heard that the Republicans will make sure no illegals vote,” she tweeted. “Ignore my previous post.”

There has been no substantial evidence of undocumented immigrants voting in federal elections, but some voters are believing the GOP messaging scam.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk — CEO of SpaceX and Tesla who also purchased X — made his first appearance at a Trump rally on Sunday and told the crowd: “As you can see I am not just MAGA — I am Dark MAGA.”

Musk tried to portray Trump as a champion of free speech, arguing that Democrats want “to take away your freedom of speech, they want to take away your right to bear arms, they want to take away your right to vote, effectively.” Musk went on to criticize a California effort to ban voter ID requirements.

When he took control of Twitter/X in 2022, Musk announced: “For Twitter to deserve public trust, it must be politically neutral, which effectively means upsetting the far right and the far left equally.”

But on Saturday, to mark his 180-degree turn toward MAGA and conspiracy theories, Musk tweeted: “Trump/Vance must win. I can’t handle four years of seeing and hearing four years of Kamala/Walz. That would be cruel and unusual punishment!”

After Musk’s appearance, former Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger called Musk a “weird dork [who] is the largest contractor to the US military despite his repeated conspiracies and anti American rhetoric. We must STOP that.”

Imagine waiting in line 100 times on election day.

Guess if you are filthy rich, what you say doesn't matter, or at least isn't binding tomorrow or the next day.

Leon is just Mush.
