On the 1st of August in 1957, Marilyn Monroe is out gardening when she suddenly collapses. Her husband Arthur Miller rushes out to find her screaming in pain, and Marilyn is rushed to the hospital. Her pregnancy is found to be ectopic and (despite Marilyn wanting children very badly) has to be terminated to protect her life. 10 days later she left the hospital, laying in her car (pictured here) smiling for the crowds of fans and paparazzi. After her car pulled away she reportedly burst into tears.
