One other element to consider: rising oil prices are good for Russia, who desperately needs the revenue right now. One of a few reasons this would be bad for the West.

From Biden’s comments about the oil facilities, it seems like the U.S. government is not likely to support a strike by Israel on Iran’s oil facilities, nor is it advised.
So I’m guessing that Biden will tell Israel not to do it, and instead go for the air defense.
