“This is a long line in despicable, self-hating, antisemitic rhetoric from a man who enjoys the support of Donald Trump and the Republican party,” the civil rights leader said in a statement “Now, his candidate in that state has suggested cops shoot me instead of some other victim. It’s clear that someone’s life is expendable to them, especially if you disagree on the issues.”

Last week, CNN broke a bombshell story that Robinson had left comments on a pornography website calling himself a “Black NAZI,” expressing his desire to own slaves, and talking about peeping in women’s locker rooms. The story came on the last day that a candidate could withdraw from North Carolina’s election, and Robinson defiantly said he would stay on.

Since then, Trump has refused to disavow Robinson, even as the gubernatorial candidate’s own staff has abruptly resigned. Senator Lindsey Graham has scrambled to try and distance Trump from Robinson, as the scandal could deal a decisive blow to the former president’s efforts to win the key swing state. It seems there are some scandals that are just too much for Trump’s GOP allies.

Nothing is a slam dunk in this era.

The Supreme Court and other federal judges are brazenly partisan, some of them obviously MAGA hacks. 1/3 of the population is willing to vote for a convicted felon, open racist, and adjudicated rapist. Police and local politicians are openly engaging in voter intimidation and voter suppression. The media (even supposedly liberal channels) loves DJT and will do anything to keep him in the headlines. And people involved in an actual violent coup to overthrow the government still hold positions of power in all 3 branches.

Jack Smith could have videos of DJT shooting a priest in the back, from 10 different angles, with 100 witnesses, and an audio tape of Trump laughing about it with Vladimir Putin on the phone, and this would still be a super close election and his supporters would just love him even more for it. And Trump wouldn’t be in any danger of getting locked up before the election.

Makes me sick that so many Americans struggled and died to better our country over the years, only to get to this point.

It's a slam dunk case but I don't really count anything as a win unless the American people will be able to hear his new evidence before the election. If Trump gets into office then it's all for naught.

More like his legal team knows what's coming and even Trump himself has the self preservation to stop saying he won going forward.

I mean VERY limited self preservation, because it's too late for any of that, but seems telling that he has admitted he lost several times over the past few weeks.
