First Lady Olena Zelenska arrived in the United States with the Ukrainian leader.

“Arrived in the United States of America. Our main task is to strengthen Ukraine and protect all our people,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote.

The Ukrainian leader believes that the full-scale war waged by Russia against Ukraine can only be resolved through a just peace achieved by collective global efforts.

According to him, the Ukrainian Victory Plan will be on the table of all Ukraine's allies.

First meetings in the United States

Zelenskyy began his visit with a trip to the Scranton Army Ammunition Plant, which produces components for artillery and mortar shells.

“The plant’s capacity is fully dedicated to meeting Ukraine’s needs, particularly for the production of 155mm shells, which has significantly increased over the past year,” the President's Office said in a statement.

At the plant, the President spoke about the situation on the battlefield and emphasized Ukraine's need for uninterrupted and timely supply of military aid.

“It is an honor for us to start our visit to the United States right here in Scranton, at this plant, in Pennsylvania. We are very happy to have such partners. Of course, we understand that the United States has been helping us since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and we are counting on continued support. I thank President Biden, the U.S. Congress, and all the workers of such plants,” Zelenskyy said.

The President emphasized that this and other American plants have increased production several times and will continue to increase capacity.

“There are 400 people working here. I really wanted to come here and thank you. 400 people have saved millions of Ukrainians. On behalf of myself and all our people, I sincerely thank you. You have helped us withstand Putin’s onslaught,” Zelenskyy told the plant's employees.

He later said that he had also met with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Senator Bob Casey and Congressman Matt Cartwright.

“I am grateful for all the support. We have agreed to work even harder to make our common strength - that of Ukraine and America - grow. I would also like to thank everyone who welcomed us in Scranton with the blue and yellow colors of our flag,” the President emphasized.

France helped us (USA) earn our freedom, and we get to help Ukraine do the same. If we don’t stand together, we will all fall to dictators.

Please don’t let Ukraine become a point of political division.

If Trump wins the election, this trip will have been for nothing. He'll stop the aid and possibly pull out of NATO.

We can't let that happen.
