The Titan's tailcone was theĀ firstĀ piece of the submersible found, which confirmed to Coast Guard back in 2023, that there was no chance of finding any survivors. The tailcone was not part of the hull. The crew was completely isolated and separate from the tailcone. Only the hull and the contents were the only part of the implosion, the rest of Titan was relatively intact since it was pressure compensated.
