This old newspaper was found in the insulation of an apartment in Manhattan. It is from the 1930s. It shows a couple of apartments and how much money a month it was back then. Some of them are $9 a week.
It would be so cool to know if some of these places are still around and how much they are now.
I imagine these apartments were a luxury back then. Hot water, gas, sun, private baths… These were listed as the apartment’s features which is totally normal for back then but damn that’s weird to think about.

Edit: Seems to be weekly prices.

A 3-4 room in manhattan adjusted for inflation would be $400. Insane how bad housing is now.
Edit: I previously had put 3-4 bedrooms instead of rooms
