One of the major problems of losing access to public phones is being able to call authorities, or anyone else, when you want to be anonymous. Now we’re all identified. That’s actually a very big negative. Try calling in an anonymous tip because you saw a major crime occur, but you absolutely do not want to be involved due to retaliation… you can’t. Want to tell someone you saw the police beat someone up, or worse? You might think twice about that, because you don’t want the police coming to your house and doing the same to you.
