If they were all gold they would cost roughly 100 million dollars to manufacture all approximately 1700 medals.

Edit: I updated the number as errors in my calculations were pointed out. Also note , this is just the raw material price.

First of all this image is not the gold medal the athlete got in London.

Secondly the medals were very tiny, 3cm, they look more like a coin. They were not meant to be worn with a ribbon. It had 25gr of gold but only 250 were made.
