For context, the Russian head of the IBA summarily introduced ‘gender testing’ when he got worried that Khelif was actually good at boxing, and miraculously found that she had “Y chromosomes”. No explanation of what the ‘test’ was; no details of the ‘results’… just some Russian guy claiming that a woman he didn’t like was a man.
Do people know what happens to gay and trans people in Algeria? Do they think that Algeria would allow a trans woman to even exist, let alone compete in the Olympics?
