He was so refreshing in his genuine enthusiasm and the almost mischievous energy he brought. Cracking jokes, dropping some zingers, and really touching moments like when he spoke about his wife and his struggles with IVF.
He seems like such a normal dude.
What also struck me, was how different the cheers of the crowd sounded compared to Trump's crowds.
Trump does get large crowds and loud cheers, yes, but the cheers at this event were those of joy from a rejuvenated crowd that feels inspired to get great shit done and bring positive change for everyone.
Trump will never hear cheers like this. He can only inspire cheers of hatred and pettiness, and unite his base in their desire to punch down and make other people miserable. It just sounds...ugly.
I hope he's fucking seething with jealous rage right now, lol.
I was there 90 mins after doors opened, but well before the event was scheduled to kick off. The line stretched over 6 blocks, and then doubled back on itself. I waited 4 hours and only got in after speeches wrapped. Everyone I met was psyched. Never been so thrilled to NOT get into an event. Let’s go vote, Dems!
