U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken issued his strongest statement yet on the outcome of Sunday’s presidential elections in Venezuela, stating Thursday night that Edmundo González had been proven the winner despite Venezuela’s longtime strongman, Nicolás Maduro, claiming victory.

“Given the overwhelming evidence, it is clear to the United States and, most importantly, to the Venezuelan people that Edmundo González Urrutia won the most votes in Venezuela’s July 28 presidential election,” Blinken said in a statement. »

Under a rule proposed Thursday by the Department of Transportation, airlines would be required to seat parents and kids 13 and younger together free of charge when adjacent seating is available at booking.

President Biden called on Congress to ban family seating and other so-called "junk" fees early last year, with Buttigieg then urging the 10 largest airlines to voluntarily ban the fees.

If not, airlines would have to offer the option to rebook for free or stay on the flight in nonadjacent seats. »

According to a report by The Verge, Microsoft is about to delay Avowed into 2025.

Apparently, the RPG is nearly ready for launch and is on track, with the Avowed release date originally planned for later this year.

As a result it’s decided to shift the game to a later date, pushing Avowed into 2025 to give it breathing room from the onslaught of upcoming titles. »

Tourists rush to save ice cream van washed out to sea in Cornwall

Seawater flooded the Kelly Whip ice-cream van parked on Harlyn Bay beach, near Padstow, on Sunday and dragged it into the sea.

Crowds of people waded into the sea to try to stop the vehicle from getting washed away but they were unsuccessful.

A rescue vehicle was called to the scene in an attempt to retrieve the van. »
