One of the major drivers of the exceptional heat building within Earth's atmosphere has reached levels beyond anything humans have ever experienced, officials announced on Thursday.

The researchers measured carbon dioxide, or CO2, levels at the Mauna Loa Atmospheric Baseline Observatory.

This graph shows the full record of monthly mean carbon dioxide measured at Mauna Loa Observatory, Hawaii.

The carbon dioxide data on Mauna Loa constitute the longest record of direct measurements of CO2 in the atmosphere.

"Each year achieves a higher maximum due to fossil-fuel burning, which releases pollution in the form of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

Carbon dioxide "acts like a blanket in the atmosphere," NOAA explained — much like other greenhouse gases that amplify the sun's heat toward Earth's surface.

And while carbon dioxide is essential in keeping global temperatures above freezing, having such high concentrations shoots temperatures beyond levels of comfort and safety. »

Alex Jones agrees to liquidate his assets to pay Sandy Hook families, in move that would end his ownership of Infowars

Jones technically has not controlled the Infowars business for some time, given that Free Speech Systems has also filed for bankruptcy protection.

The liquidation of Jones’ assets does not mean that Infowars will cease to exist. »

In contrast, Democrats just aren't defending Hunter Biden on charges that he lied on a gun application about his drug addiction.

President Biden released a statement affirming that he has "boundless love" for his son, but that he "won't comment" further. »

China Is Losing the Chip War

Whatever Xi’s assumptions, he picked a chip war with a superior power before he had the armory to wage it.

Now China faces the daunting task of building a single-nation chip supply chain in an otherwise highly globalized industry.

The evidence available so far from the chip war suggests that China’s continued ascent would have been better served if Xi had maintained a partnership with Washington. »
