I used to fly rich people around in their private jets.
There was a guy during covid who couldn’t have his bananas and fruit shipped to his house in Aspen. We would pick him up, fly him to Seattle, spend the night and then fly back in the morning with two suitcase full of fruits. Mostly bananas.
Edit: some people have made mention of possible nefarious intent. I suppose it’s possible but we did eat some of the fruit and so did the owner and his family while enroute at times.
Edit 2: I have no idea what market. Sorry.
Edit 3: someone asked why we didn’t go shopping for him: that would be a breach of our contract as hired pilots. I and the others in our industry are not a “general handyman” for a quick buck. We are paid to fly and manage the aircraft and its surrounding environment. Most of us keep that line pretty clear. They’re welcome to pay someone else to go in their place.
