It was such a huge miss they didn't do this from the start and I don't know how the fuck they justified it in their heads.

Like they made a really solid product but ultimately your selling to such s niche group of enthusiasts then alienating most of them by platform and then further scaring people away by putting all the pressure on yourself to support it enough to justify the price of the purchase.

I just don't know what could have possibly led them to think this would be anything but a massive commercial failure.

This is pretty exciting depending on how well they do with the PC-side software.

Social VR people have been wanting something tethered (for looong sessions) with a good pixel density and eye-tracking for social cues and foviated rendering for many years now.

Hopefully you can mix-and-match controllers. Those japanese anime rave lightsticks are not the best controllers I've ever used.
