Raising his daughter has to be the crowning achievement of his life, moreso than the music. Things could've gone so horrible.
As an aside- The way he was sporting that hat in nearly every photo for the last year or so I honestly thought he was going bald and was self conscious about it. Part of me thinks this is a glued on piece but who knows.
