Both adults were severely injured and trapped in the wrecked vehicle, but their nine-year-old was miraculously unscathed and able to seek help.
He ran over a mile in total darkness to get help for his parents, navigating storm debris and downed power lines along the way.
The boy managed to find a neighbor, who followed him back to the crushed truck.
Branson’s baseball team also wore stickers on their baseball gear to show their support for the family. »
