In 2015, Cai Guo-Qiang crafted "Sky Ladder," a 1,650-foot firework artwork, in secret to honor his grandmother's 100th birthday. Using a massive white balloon filled with 6,200 cubic meters of helium, he lifted a 500-meter ladder adorned with gold fireworks above Huiyu Island Harbour in Quanzhou, China. Upon ignition, the display dazzled for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Also Featured on Netflix, Sky Ladder: The Art of Cai Guo-Qiang
