Ubisoft is set to release its next Prince of Persia game later this year on Steam, developed by Dead Cells developer Evil Empire.

The game, ‘The Rogue Prince of Persia,’ will launch in Early Access on Steam and mark Ubisoft’s first day-one Steam release since 2019.

Sources say the Rogue Prince of Persia is a new Roguelite that will receive constant free updates and evolve over time based on community feedback.

The game is set to take its art direction inspiration heavily from Franco-Belgian comics.

It’s currently unclear when the game will officially be announced, but the game is targeting an Early Access release on Steam later this year.

Dead Cells sold over 850,000 copies during its Early Access period on Steam, eventually reaching 10 million units sold in 2023.

There’s still no word on the development and state of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Remake, but in November 2023, Ubisoft said that the game had passed an ‘Important Milestone’. »
