Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio’s action adventure game, God of War Ragnarok, is rumored for release on PC sometime during the year 2025.

Twitter/X insider Silknigth, who correctly leaked the PC announcement for Ghost of Tsushima and the contents of Sony’s recent State of Play presentation, was asked if God of War fans will see Kratos in action in a new release this year. In response, they brought up the PC version of God of War Ragnarok, but stated that its release will not happen until the first quarter of 2025.

In addition to God of War Ragnarok, the insider was also asked about other first party PlayStation titles that have yet to make their way over to PC. Regarding the possibility of the Demon’ Souls remake coming to PC, they mentioned that it’s a port that requires a lot of dedication, but it will arrive at some point. As for a PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, they responded by saying “I don’t see”, suggesting that it won’t be arriving on the platform anytime soon.

The insider’s information regarding God of War Ragnarok makes sense, given the two year gap Sony Interactive Entertainment has seen fit for the release of most single-player first party PlayStation titles on PC. The game was originally released on PS4 and PS5 on November 9, 2022. As such, a PC port happening sometime within the first quarter of 2025 would be when one would expect it to see the light of day.

As for what’s next for the God of War franchise, during an interview with Matan Evan, the individual who The Game Awards regulars will remember as the ‘Bill Clinton kid’ from 2022’s show, Atreus voice actor Sunny Suljic mentioned that his experience working on God of War Ragnarok has been “insane”, and that he’s already looking forward to the next game if they were to begin work on it. He was then asked if Santa Monica Studio is already working on anything he can currently talk about. He declined to comment, though he laughed as if he was holding back on information.
