Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt has explained why the studio’s latest third-person shooter, HELLDIVERS 2, will “never” have a PvP mode.

According to Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Johan Pilestedt, HELLDIVERS 2 will “never” feature a PvP mode because the development team wants to reduce toxic elements from the community.

In his response, Pilestedt stated that the team at Arrowhead Game Studios wants an environment that is supportive, fun and where all players are “fighting on the same side”.

While the development team currently has no plans to add a PvP mode, there’s no telling whether plans may change in the future.

They gave HELLDIVERS 2 a score of zero and stated that their “part” was done, suggesting that Xbox fans may be collectively review bombing the game.

Serving as the sequel to the 2015’s Helldivers, the game is set in a satirical futuristic world dominated by the “managed democracy” of Super Earth.

Unlike its predecessor, Helldivers 2 opts for a third-person shooter format. »
