Developer Rocksteady was forced to pull Suicide Squad servers offline less than an hour into its early access release, after players experienced a bug which automatically completed the game after they logged in for the first time.
The online co-op title officially releases on February 2. However, those who purchase the more expensive Deluxe Edition can play 72 hours early.
The first territory to go live, as always, was New Zealand, with many international players using a popular region trick on Xbox consoles in order to play Suicide Squad early.
However, less than an hour after the game went live, Rocksteady took the servers offline and told players the downtime would last several hours while it investigated the auto-game-completion bug.
âWeâre aware that a number of players are currently experiencing an issue whereby upon logging into the game for the first time, they have full story completion,â the studio said.

âTo resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance on the game servers. During this time the game will be unavailable. We expect this to take several hours and will update once we have more information. We apologise for the inconvenience.â
Following several delays, the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League release date is February 2, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
Freelance critic Alan Wen wrote in VGCâs Suicide Squad hands-on: âSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is, as Iâm told by a Rocksteady representative, part of the Arkhamverse.
âBut you wouldnât know just by looking at it, and after playing it for almost four hours, Iâm not sure you would know it was from the same studio behind the best superhero game trilogy ever made.â
