Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, is having an incredibly busy season, much like many other NFL players. Despite his hectic schedule, he continues to contribute to his local community, and this time, he’s receiving some assistance as well.

Thursday morning saw the announcement of Travis Kelce partnering with Kodiak to contribute 25,000 meals to Kansas City youth through Operation Breakthrough. Kodiak, a well-known breakfast brand recognized for its protein and whole grain-filled products, is a company Kelce has been involved with since 2022.

Kelce released a statement regarding his collaboration, as reported by PR Newswire:

“Joining forces with my friends over at Kodiak to fuel the Operation Breakthrough families is a total privilege. Alongside Kodiak, a brand I love, we will be making a meaningful difference in the day-to-day life of hundreds of Kansas City kids, and I couldn’t be more excited to make this happen,” shared Travis.

This marks another commendable act in a string of benevolent actions by Kelce throughout his tenure in Kansas City. Since becoming part of the community in 2013, he has actively participated in numerous charitable initiatives. In 2020, he was even the Chiefs’ nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award. Kelce’s 87 & Running Foundation, with a focus on youth, has positively impacted the lives of numerous children and their families.

Kelce has developed a strong bond with Operation Breakthrough. Throughout the years, the All-Pro tight end has contributed substantial time and financial support to their advocacy, educational, and aid initiatives. Together with his foundation, he collaborated with Operation Breakthrough to establish an 87 & Running Robotics Lab and an innovative Ignition Lab: Powered by 87 & Running. These labs offer students valuable opportunities to delve into crucial STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields.

A decade into his professional career, Kelce remains committed to making a positive impact in Kansas City. In recent years, both on and off the field, the Chiefs have seen the collaboration of leaders like Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, Justin Reid, and Tyrann Mathieu, partnering with local businesses and their respective foundations to support children and families. With the assistance of Kelce and Kodiak, these ongoing efforts will persist as the players conclude their 2023-24 season.
