Turkey’s military has carried out air raids against Kurdish fighters in northern Iraq and Syria.

The overnight air raids destroyed 23 targets, the Turkish Ministry of National Defence said on Tuesday.

The upswing in the conflict began on Friday when nine Turkish soldiers were killed in clashes with Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) fighters in northern Iraq.

Ankara responded with air attacks and military operations in the area, as well as in northern Syria.

The latest air raids were carried out on Monday at 10pm (19:00 GMT) in the Metina, Gara, Hakurk and Qandil regions of northern Iraq, close to the city of Erbil, as well as in northern Syria.

Turkish forces regularly strike PKK fighters based in the mountains of northern Iraq.

The tension spilling over from the war in Gaza is provoking increasing levels of violence across the region, and northern Iraq and Syria is one hotspot. »

While he denied causing the fires, she said Paré "demonstrated a certain interest in fires" during the interview, which led police to suspect him. »

It’s hard to keep up with how often Ubisoft has rebranded its online portals for its games, with Uplay, Ubisoft Game Launcher, Ubisoft Connect, Uplay+, Uplay Passport, Ubisoft Club, and now Ubisoft+ Premium and Ubisoft+ Classics, all names used over the last decade or so.

It’s also seemed faintly bewildering why there’s a demand for any of them, given Ubisoft released only five non-mobile games last year. »

American military personnel recovered Iranian-made missile warheads and related components during a ship-boarding mission near Somalia last week that disrupted the weapons resupply of militants in Yemen but left two elite Navy SEALs lost at sea, U.S. defense officials said.

As The Washington Post and other media previously reported, Thursday’s nighttime operation, backed by helicopters and drones, took place in rough seas.

Though it has been days since the two Navy SEALs went missing, the Pentagon remains hopeful that they will be found alive. »
