Baldur's Gate 3 leads nominations for the New York Games Awards 2024

Larian Studios is already working out its next steps after the success achieved with Baldur's Gate 3, the 2023 Game of the Year. According to Swen Vincke, the creative mind behind the RPG, its ideas have been reorganized and are ready to take shape.According to Vincke, the sketches made over the last four months gave life to a possible Act 1. Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 also attracted attention.Later this month, Baldur's Gate 3 has the chance to take home another GOTY award. Larian Studios' RPG appeared in six categories at the New York Games Awards 2024 and is the game with the most nominations at the ceremony.The acclaimed game was nominated for Game of the Year, Best Script, Best Universe and Best Soundtrack. Meanwhile, the Best Acting category had two nominees: Amelia Tyler as the Narrator and Neil Newbon as Astarion.Alan Wake 2 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty appear in second place, with five nominations each. Starfield and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom received three nominations each, both appearing in the Game of the Year category.
