Every year a shoal of Glaswegians driven by ancient instinct and the taste of ancestral waters swim gamely up the River Dart, leaping majestically up waterfalls and rapids, resting quietly overnight in the deeper pools, until they reach the river bank around the back of this building where, their mission complete, they expire and fertilise the land and so pass their nutrients, and perhaps their spirit, on to the next generation of pissheads.
