GTA 6 Leaks Goes Viral on TikTok, but are they Real?

A short TikTok video uploaded by a TikTok user “i_see_in_4k“, just seven seconds long, claims to show stuff from the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6). What makes this extra interesting is that it’s supposedly linked to a Rockstar Games employee’s son, adding more drama to the already intense speculation about GTA 6.

In the video, we get a peek at a city in Vice City, the game’s location, during its early development. The camera moves around freely, not tied to any character, and there are some notes from the game developers at the bottom of the screen.

While it’s not a massive reveal, fans are buzzing, comparing this leak to previous ones. Some buildings look similar, and the video hints at the game having three main cities with four smaller ones, making it twice as big as Los Santos from the previous game. It’s all making GTA fans even more excited.

Someone shared a slideshow claiming that Aaron Garbut’s son, head of development at Rockstar North, was involved in leaking content for a new game. The person behind the leaks says they know Garbut’s son but insist they are not him. They even called him “the coolest dude” in one of their TikTok comments.

In the slideshow, there were images of places not seen in GTA 5 and new sports cars for the series. However, this content has been taken down.

A fan connected some footage with distant buildings from the original leaks, adding credibility to the short video.

Screenshots of a conversation with Aaron Garbut were also shared, where he supposedly confirmed the leaks. In the conversation, Garbut mentioned that the game would have three major cities, four “sub cities,” and they all surround a “large lake in the middle of the map.”

Many posts with this information are getting deleted from the internet, causing confusion among those who initially thought it was fake, given the amount of evidence presented by the account sharing the leaks.

Even though many rumors about GTA 6 have turned out to be untrue, Rockstar, the game company, has verified that the leaked gameplay footage is genuine. The leaked footage was associated with earlier leaks, and Rockstar promptly removed the content. Journalist Jason Schreier also checked with sources at the studio and confirmed that the leaks were indeed real.
