Eversource attached a support cable from a utility pole to a tree in my yard a few years ago with no permission. The tree died (for other reasons) and I called them about it. They came out, removed all the branches and left the 20 foot trunk now all grey and ugly and told me they can't remove it because it supports the pole. The city told me they have right of way and there's nothing I can do about it. Lawyers confirmed. Eversource rep literally laughed at me. Fuck Eversource.
