As an ex Muslim who had to get asylum in the United States it will never not be strange to me that liberals and feminists decided to use the Hijab as a sign of women's rights and liberation when in many countries simply not wearing a hijab can lead to a prison sentence or death.

It is literally the opposite of women's liberation

Fun fact: In the 60s and 70s, Iran was the West's party country, the same way they now flock to Prague for parties.
