Of all the myths and religions created due to natural phenomena, I'm surprised auroras don't have some wild story about them that has persisted throughout time through cultural appropriation. Can't think of any significant character that is associated with auroras. They're just too pretty and outer-worldly to not have one.
Excellent photo, and here's me after three trips to Iceland having still entirely failed to see them! (Despite one night spent squinting at the sky in the middle of the night trying to convince ourselves we saw something)
