Dragon’s Dogma 2 Launches on March 22, 2024, Says PEGI

Following the 18 rating received earlier this week in Saudi Arabia, Dragon's Dogma 2 has been rated by the European equivalent, PEGI (Pan European Game Information). The rating is the same (18). It comes with warnings of violence and in-game purchases, with the latter suggesting there will be some form of microtransactions.

More importantly, though, the PEGI website has listed the release date of Dragon's Dogma 2. According to the listing, the hotly anticipated action RPG sequel will be available starting on Friday, March 22, 2024. This doesn't really feel like a placeholder date, so we may have a proper launch date leak on our hands.

We're likely to learn whether it is correct very soon. Earlier today, CAPCOM announced a dedicated Dragon's Dogma 2 showcase to be held on Tuesday, November 28th, airing at 1 PM Pacific Time (4 PM Eastern Time, 9 PM GMT).

Game Director Hideaki Itsuno and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi will host the 15-minute live stream, where fans can expect lots of new gameplay and information. It's likely CAPCOM will reveal the date at the showcase or, failing that, at Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards (airing on December 7).

According to Itsuno-san, the game will fully realize the original vision thanks to the power of current-generation hardware and CAPCOM's own RE Engine. Here's the official description provided by the development team:

Set forth on your grand adventure, Arisen!

Dragon’s Dogma is a single player, narrative driven action-RPG series that challenges the players to choose their own experience – from the appearance of their Arisen, their vocation, their party, how to approach different situations and more. Now, in this long-awaited sequel, the deep, explorable fantasy world of Dragon’s Dogma 2 awaits.

On your journey, you’ll be joined by Pawns, mysterious otherworldly beings, in an adventure so unique you will feel as if accompanied by other players while on your own adventure.

All of these elements are elevated further through physics technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and the latest in graphics, to create a truly immersive fantasy world in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

That’s sooner than I would have thought. I’m stoked if this is true.

Finally, after over a decade r/DragonsDogma can be at ease. I truly believe that sub willed this game into existence.

2023 was already great but 2024 might be even better
