Kaiserpunk, an Alternate-History WWI-Era City-Builder-Meets-Grand-Strategy Game, Announced

Authored by ign.com and submitted by Cobra_hehe

Overseer Games announces Kaiserpunk, a city-building grand strategy game set in an alternate history where World War I never ended. Flex your military might or economically cripple your foes in order to win. Kaiserpunk is in development for PC.

Developer Overseer previously made Aquatico and Patron. For Kaiserpunk, they're combining two genres they feel are complementary: city-building and grand strategy. In the fictional alternate universe, the Treaty of Versailles was never signed and World War I raged on. It features over 100 different regions to conquer, and you'll need to organize your production chains, manage an efficient network of depots, keep your roads maintained, as well as train and maintain armies – all while keeping your population happy.

Check out the first screenshots in the gallery above and watch the announcement trailer at the top of this page. You can wishlist it on Steam if you're interested in following its progress throughout development.

500 upvotes and like 8 comments, is this spam?

Yeah these posts are sus as fuck. Hundreds of upvotes in subreddits that normally get less than 100. Also barely any comments? I wouldn't trust this developer at all. This person has posted this exact same post in at least 20 subreddits.

That's the best name they could come up with?
