Stuff like this keeps me up at night sometimes. Wondering how the hell I just happened to be born in a first world country and was spared the horrors of living in a warzone. Not knowing where your next meal is coming. Not knowing if your family is still alive after the last round of airstrikes. Not knowing whether you're next. It's all so alien to me that I can't even begin imagine what it's like.

The anxiety of giving birth in such a time, or having a loved one go into labor, is unimaginable.
