THE HAGUE, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Three Palestinian human rights groups said they have asked the International Criminal Court to investigate Israel, accusing it of committing war crimes including genocide by bombing and besieging the Gaza Strip.

Israel is not a member of the Hague-based court and does not recognise its jurisdiction.

"These actions amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity, including genocide and incitement to genocide," they said in a joint press statement. »

However, just 27% of Arab respondents said they felt optimistic about Israel's future, compared to 72% of Jews.

Asked if, given an alternative Western citizenship, they would leave Israel, 80.5% of Jewish respondents said they would stay, as did 59% of Arab respondents, the IDI poll found.
