In 2020 and early 2021, Representative Mike Johnson—a.k.a. the guy the GOP just elected Speaker of the House—spent a significant amount of time and energy trying to overturn the 2020 election. But he’d rather not answer questions about the lengths he went to reverse the results of a free and fair election.

Asked by ABC News reporter Rachel Scott on Tuesday night, prior to his floor vote, if he stands by his attempts to prevent Joe Biden from becoming president, despite Joe Biden winning both the popular and Electoral College votes, Johnson shook his head and said, “Next question,” while his Republican colleagues booed Scott. One literally yelled at her, “Shut up! Shut up!”

Johnson may not want to discuss his undemocratic actions from 2020 and 2021—after all, they make him look really bad!—but unfortunately for the representative from Louisiana, his past is now receiving significant scrutiny thanks to the whole Speakership situation and him being literally two heartbeats away from the presidency. As University of Texas law professor Steve Vladeck notes, Johnson led the amicus brief signed by more than 100 GOP lawmakers that asked the Supreme Court to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

Of course not. He's also a climate change skeptic, he's in tight with big oil, a covid denier, anti-vaxer and a Jan 6th denier!!

The GOP is no more. They are a christofascist terroristic organization. They WILL cause a government shutdown and use it to further their agenda. CRIMINAL TRUMP NOW CONTROLS THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND EVERY REPUBLICAN VOTED IN FAVOR OF IT!!

Vote dems like your life, rights and democracy depend on it, because they do!!

Then we should keep discussing it. And keep discussing it. And keep discussing it. Day after day. This piece of shit is quiet as a mouth but is somehow quite possibly an even more disgusting parasite than Richard Strauss's best friend Gym.
