For those curious to know what made ten hours of hell:
TL:DR - Went in to treat stomach pain, sedation drug didn't work and then the IV was put in my arm which was super painful, was given Potassium through the IV and remained in the bed for 10 hours with horrible pain
Sorry to hear about your experience. IV potassium burns while infusing, running it slower can sometimes help but usually just results in pain for longer period of time. An ice pack can sometimes help too.
