Hey man, congrats. As a fellow dad who’s been through it, make sure you take care of yourself. Mom needs a lot of help right now and she should absolutely be your focus, but don’t turn away help that’s offered. If someone offers to bring y’all food or help around the house, even if it’s for a few days, accept it.

Enthusiastically.

You’ll be better able to help you partner recover from one of the most traumatic experiences of her life and a lot of times people are happy to help new parents.

Refusing stuff because you think you’ve got it under control or want to put on a strong show for her is self-defeating. Postpartum depression can absolutely affect men and it can hit you out of nowhere.

Enjoy this time. Accepting help can enable you to enjoy it more!

If you need someone to talk to or have any questions, feel free to reach out. Being a dad is the best thing that ever happened to me and I’m happy to talk about it.

You got this!

Your baby was just born and four hours ago you were posting sexual comments on another sub? You're disgusting. Congrats on the baby, hope you'll be a present father and partner.
