Sen. John Fetterman, D-Penn., has become the first senator to join the calls for colleague Sen. Bob Menendez, D-NJ, to resign following his indictment for bribery.

"Senator Menendez should resign. He’s entitled to the presumption of innocence, but he cannot continue to wield influence over national policy, especially given the serious and specific nature of the allegations," Fetterman posted on X Saturday. "I hope he chooses an honorable exit and focuses on his trial."

Menendez and his wife were indicted on Friday following accusations of accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes, including gold bars.

On Saturday, New Jersey Rep. Andy Kim, who represents south and central New Jersey, announced that he will challenge Menendez in the Democratic primary, just one day after his indictment became public.

It’s amazing seeing grown ups in congress.

He's right. The incitement seems pretty damning.

While factual evidence hasn't stopped the GOP from policing their own, I hope the Democratic Party doesn't follow suit.
