I was an 11 year old Canadian at the time. I remember when they were rolling the footage on the projector in math class I had no real idea what the twin towers were, but through a combo of West Wing and XFiles I had knew what the Pentagon was, so that seemed more real ans serious to me
My friend was working in the pentagon when it was hit. He had to go beck the next day to work on war plans. He said it made him mad when he called another base to gather information and the people weren't there because the base was closed and he was working in building that was literally still on fire.
A dude I was stationed with died in this part of the attack. His Italian wife had only been in the country for less than a year and his daughter was single digit months old when he was killed.
